(on the game) "Jacksonville has a heck of a football team. We feel very fortunate to come into their house and find a way to win. They are very physical, and they have one of the best defenses in the national football league. They will be there at the end of the season. They are very physical. I'm really pleased with our defense the way they stepped up. Anytime you have two guys out of the game, and they find a way to limit the opposition to rushing yardage and created a number of turnovers. You feel good about your football team."
(on the Broncos defense) "Guys go down, but you got to have guys step up and play at a very high level, and it's hard to do on the road. Those guys are very committed to each other and they played extremely well. That's the only way you win on the road. That's what they did. We had three defensive backs down, a couple of linebackers went in for some injured linebackers and those guys really stepped up and played."
(on the high level the defense is playing) "They're playing very good. They played pretty consistent against two excellent offensive football teams. Today they made a number of big plays with some guys out of the lineup. We feel good about the cohesiveness on the unit. We take it as a game won, it's a long season, but pleased with the way the played as a unit."
(on how he felt about the offense) "I felt very good. There won't be a lot of teams that run the football on this team for 175-200 yards whatever it was. What you have to do is you can't make mistakes. You go in there and get into a slugfest we're they're putting pressure on the inside and outside, your going to have a number of turnovers. Our game plan was to not turn over the football, at the same time still try to move the football without being too conservative. I thought we were able to do that. Put some pressure on their offense and fortunately it worked out that way."
(on Carswell) "Dwayne's been playing that tight end position for a longtime. A lot of times he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Now that he is over 300 pounds I don't think he has ever caught a pass, a touchdown pass weighing over 300 like he did today. Thank God he didn't have to run with the ball after the catch."
(on the status of Champ Bailey) "I really don't know how long he is going to be out. I don't think anybody does with those hamstrings. He went out there before the game, kind of worked it, I didn't really ask him how he felt because he didn't practice during the week. But if he had been adamant to me I probably still wouldn't have let him play."
