The Denver Broncos announced on Friday the signing of undrafted free agent quarterback Nick Rolovich on a try out basis.
Rolovich, who initially tried out for the team two weeks ago at mini camp, spent last season teaming with Broncos first round draft selection Ashley Lelie as the pair led Hawaii to one of its best seasons ever, culminating with a stunning win over ninth ranked Brigham Young.
While a senior, Rolovich completed an outstanding 58% of his passes, (233 of 405) for 3,361 yards and 34 touchdowns, with only nine interceptions. During the year he topped the 300-yard passing mark six times, including his final three games in which he threw for 500 or more yards, connected for twenty touchdowns and scored 176 points, 72 of which came in the win over Brigham Young.
In his two-year career at Hawaii (2000-01) Rolovich threw for 4,176 yards and 40 touchdowns on 54.7% accuracy (296 of 541), with 13 interceptions.
