ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Wednesday acquired the 15th overall selection in the 2006 NFL Draft from the Atlanta Falcons, Head Coach Mike Shanahan announced. In exchange, Denver sends Atlanta the 29th overall pick and a third-round choice (93rd overall) in the 2006 NFL Draft along with a fourth-round selection in the 2007 NFL Draft.
The Falcons have traded the 29th overall pick obtained from Denver to the New York Jets in exchange for defensive end John Abraham.
Denver now owns choices No. 15 and No. 22 in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. The club also has a second-round pick (61st overall), two fourth-round picks, one fifth-round selection and one sixth-round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft.
