As a senior in 2005, Bell was named honorable mention All-Pacific-10 Conference after rushing for a career-best 952 yards on 200 carries (4.8 avg.) with five touchdowns. He was a second-team All-Pac-10 choice as a sophomore in 2003, posting 920 rushing yards and a career-best six rushing touchdowns.
At Tolleson High School in Tolleson, Ariz., Bell was a consensus All-American as a senior and also was the stateâ€™s player of the year as selected by The Arizona Republic and Phoenix Metro Football Magazine. He became the second player in state history to rush for 2,000 yards in consecutive seasons, and his career prep total of 4,692 rushing yards was the second-highest total in Arizona annals.
