Rod Smith Visits Chat Room Friday, 1:30p.m. MDT
After finishing 2001 as Denver's main receiving threat, Rod Smith is anxious to begin 2002 with a full compliment of receivers. Because injuries depleted the Broncos receiving corp, Smith became the crutch on which Denver's offense leaned. The veteran finished the season with 113 receptions for 1,343 yards and 11 touchdowns in 15 games. His production, despite his own ankle problems, earned him his second consecutive trip to the Pro Bowl in Honolulu. Smith will gladly pass on all of the personal accolades for another shot at a championship ring. Heading into the 2002 season, that is exactly where Smith's sights are set. With that in mind, what better challenge to start the journey than against the defending NFC Champion St. Louis Rams. With the regular season opener coming up on Sunday, Sept. 8 Smith will visit the Denver Broncos Chat Room to talk football and the new season with Denver fans aroound the world. Stop by and ask a question of Denver's Pro Bowl receiver from 1:30 to 2 p.m. (MDT) on Friday, Sept. 6.
