Al Wilson Trade Called Off

According to Broncos Update sources, a potential trade sending middle linebacker Al Wilson to the New York Giants has been called off.

It appears that the trade involving Denver Broncos middle lineacker Al Wilson has hit a snag.

Published reports from New York indicate that Wilson did in fact arrive in the Big Apple earlier today, and was scheduled to take a physical with the New York Giants. Those same sources are also confirming that now the deal has been called off, with speculation that the nine-year veteran did not pass his physical exam.

Peter Schaffer, Wilson's Denver based agent, confirmed yesterday that a deal was in progress with the Giants, but was also careful to point out that there was a strong possibility that his client would remain in Denver for the upcoming season.

Had a deal gone though, the Broncos more than likely would have moved outside linebacker D.J. Williams inside, and looked for a trade, the draft or the current depth chart to fill the Williams' vacancy on the outside.

Stay tuned to Broncos for all the latest information as it becomes available.
