Broncos Select DE Tim Crowder with No. 2

Denver nabs Texas defensive end Tim Crowder with their second pick (57th overall selection). This marks the second defensive player the team has selected in today's opening round.

Tim Crowder - Defensive End
Senior | Texas
Height: 6-4 | Weight: 272| 40-Time: 4.69

Strengths: A solid athlete with immense strength and agility. Never has a problem taking on multiple blockers, and is always pursuing. Plays low and quick, and is able to penetrate the line and is constantly harassing the passer. He can clog up the lanes and takes down runners with ease, sheds blocks and is always collapsing the line. Has a strong motor with infinite potential. At 22 years of age, he has the ability to be molded into a pro-bowl Defensive tackle.

Weaknesses: Mechanics and fundamentals are still raw and telegraphs his moves. His inconsistency and lack big plays show in his age. Is still underdeveloped in some areas and needs to work on his speed. Sometimes is often intimidated by bigger blockers.

Too much upside to pass on his raw talent, and will be molded into a rotational end. Has all the intangibles to be a pro bowler but needs to work on simple mechanics. His speed and height makes for an special athlete that once groomed at the next level, has unlimited potential.
