The first step in a major overhaul has begun for the Denver Broncos. Word broke this morning that punter Todd Sauerbrun will be cut this afternoon.
To replace Sauerbrun on the roster the Broncos have signed Paul Ernster, who was Denver's punter last season.
No stranger to problems on and off the field, Sauerbrun was most recently involved in an altercation with a cab driver in downtown Denver on Dec. 8 and was charged with simple assault.
His next scheduled court appearance is Jan 15, 2008.
