ENGLEWOOD, Colo.-The Denver Broncos have placed defensive end Reggie Hayward on the injured reserve list and re-signed guard Mookie Moore, who was with the club in training camp and again for one week in October. Hayward, 23, fractured his right hand in last Sunday's game at San Diego.
He played in nine of the Broncos' 12 games in his second season with the team and made 10 tackles (7 solo). In 15 career games he has recorded 32 tackles (23 solo), including three sacks. Moore, 26, was with the Broncos from Oct. 23-28, after Tom Nalen was placed on injured reserve, but was inactive for his only game with the club, at New England (10/27).
He originally signed with the Broncos Dec. 24, 2001, but did not see action in either of Denver's final two games last season, and after going through training camp with the club was waived by the Broncos in the final cutdown (Sept. 1, 2002) this season.
In his third year out of Troy State, the 6-2, 318-pound Moore has played in five NFL games (one start), all with Washington in 2000. He entered the NFL as the Redskins' fourth-round draft choice that year,
129th overall. Moore will wear No. 69.
