Michael Pittman brings a different look to the Denver Broncos running game than do Selvin Young and Andre Hall. Read more about the running back situation and get all the latest player reports.

--QB Jay Cutler didn't put up a great stat line against Tampa Bay and its zone defense, but coach Mike Shanahan was impressed with how Cutler managed the game. Cutler should rebound and have good numbers against a Jacksonville defense that allowed 300 yards passing to the Steelers last week.

--RB Selvin Young strained his groin against Tampa Bay. The injury didn't appear too serious. Still, between that injury and Michael Pittman playing well, Young doesn't appear to be in line for many more carries than the 10 he got against the Buccaneers.

--RB Michael Pittman brings a different look to the Broncos running game than do Selvin Young and Andre Hall. Young and Hall are threats for the big play. Pittman is a tough, aggressive runner who will initiate contact for extra yards. He could continue to see his role increase.

--RB Ryan Torain could return from an elbow injury after Denver's Week 8 bye. Although he impressed the coaches, it's hard to say what his role would be. He has never played in a NFL game, including preseason, and the Broncos are already using three tailbacks. If he does get a shot, he fits Denver's running style well.

--WR Brandon Marshall caught only three passes against the Buccaneers. He did drop one and missed another opportunity when he slipped down as Jay Cutler was trying to throw him the ball. With Eddie Royal possibly out this week, Marshall should get a lot more attention from Jacksonville's defense, but also should be targeted on more plays.

--WR Eddie Royal could miss this week's game with a sprained ankle. Royal hurt himself against Tampa Bay returning a punt. He said he dealt with a nagging ankle injury the week leading up to the game.

--WR Brandon Stokley could get the start if Eddie Royal can't play. Darrell Jackson is still trying to come back from a calf injury and has missed four games. Stokley is a reliable weapon who has 13 catches his last two games.

--TE Nate Jackson could play more if Tony Scheffler misses this week's game. Jackson spent all of the preseason ahead of Scheffler as the team's second tight end, which shows the team won't change much if Scheffler is out of the lineup.

--K Matt Prater has been a revelation for the Broncos. They liked his strong leg but couldn't be certain how good he would be. He has missed only one field goal this year and has four 50-yarders.

--DT Nic Clemons had a sack against Tampa Bay, although it was nullified due to a penalty away from him, and he played pretty well throughout the game. Clemons can provide some interior pass rush and will continue to be a part of the line's rotation.

--LB Nate Webster had 10 tackles against Tampa Bay. Although he comes off the field in passing situations, Webster has been very active from his middle linebacker position all year and has posted good numbers most weeks.

--LB Boss Bailey had his best game as a Bronco against the Buccaneers, with 10 tackles. He missed almost all of the preseason with a sprained ankle, but he looked comfortable last week. The Broncos' linebackers are much improved from last year's group.
