NFL Season in Six Minutes
Don Delco on March 24th, 2011 AT 3:43 PM

Who doesn’t love NFL Films?

Well, they put together the 2010 NFL season in six minutes. Right now, it’s the only football we’ll see for a while.

Oh, and there is a shot of a great diving catch by Cleveland’s Josh Cribbs.

Website Compiles Browns Visit List
Don Delco on March 24th, 2011 AT 8:52 AM

Thanks to a wide network of Scout.com publishers, we were notifed if a website, 85percentsports.com, which has compiled a visit list for all 32 NFL teams.

“This is NOT a complete list of players each team is interested in,” wrote 85percentsports.com’s Jeremy Heneghan. “It’s a list of players I have found from articles and reports.”

So, as Heneghan wrote, take these with a grain of salt. But, it’s generally a good list with some interesting names. Also, it appears as if the Browns have not narrowed down their position targets, as they have looked at players from all the positions.

First, here are the pro days the Browns have attended, according to 85percentsports.com: Air Force, Alabama, Arizona, Auburn, Chattanooga, Colorado, Delaware, E. Kentucky, Florida, Illinois, Kent State, Miami (FL), Texas A&M, Troy, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and Wofford.

And now, onto the players:

St. Clair Plans to Retire
Don Delco on March 22nd, 2011 AT 10:30 AM

(Insert jokes of two years too late here.)

Yes, according to The Roanoke Times in Roanoke, Va., John St. Clair plans to end his 11-year career.

On Feb. 9, St. Clair was among the older players cut by the Browns and new coach Pat Shurmur.

“I know I could play two or even three more years,” St. Clair told Doug Doughty of the Roanoke Times. “But I’d be really mad at myself if I had a chance to walk way with a clean slate and then came back and got hurt.”

In respect to an 11-year career… Must. Resist. Snide. Comments.

This does tie into a right tackle article I’m working on for The OBR. So, that’s nice.

Caplan: CB Brown to work out for Browns
Don Delco on March 21st, 2011 AT 10:40 AM

Fox Sports’ Adam Caplan is reporting Texas cornerback Curtis Brown is scheduled to work out for the Ravens, Browns and Patriots before the end of this month.

Here is Caplan’s story:

The University of Texas could have two cornerbacks selected within the first two rounds of the 2011 NFL Draft.

While Aaron Williams is expected to go off the board in the late first/early second round area, Curtis Brown, who had a solid showing during Senior Bowl practices earlier this year, is expected to go off the board within the first 60 selections.

Brown (5'11" ½, 185), has good size and better than average speed for the position. What scouts like is Brown is willing to be physical—a trait which is rare for a young cornerback to possess.

Brown, according to a source, is scheduled to work out for the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots before the end of the month. He's also expected to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are in need of a cornerback, within the next two weeks.
