Federal Judge Susan Richard Nelson ruled on the side of the players, stating that the lockout is to be lifted by the owners Monday afternoon. The owners are expected to file an immediate stay.
If the appeals process isn't granted, free agency and all of the normal business of the NFL could resume again within a few days.
The ruling took over two weeks after Nelson heard the arguments in federal court. If the ruling isn't overturned in court, the NFL would resume its normal schedule. The judge's ruling comes just three days before the NFL Draft begins on Thursday night.
Browns cornerback Eric Wright posted a reaction to the news on his Twitter account.
"We'll be back in bizness**"
The league has requested a stay and will appeal Nelson's decision to the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
