The Browns have not yet announced their list of rookie free agents, we've been keeping track of what we've heard all week. The team will announce all rookie free agents as a group after they take physicals on Friday morning. It appears that the team will bring in 20 or more un-drafted rookies to look at.
"With maybe 15, 18, or 20 rookies, that will give us a chance to really focus on teaching those guys", Davis told the media on draft day. Davis contends that all rookies who are brought in "have some dimension that would give them a chance to make the team".
The team will hold practices on Friday afternoon, Saturday morning and afternoon, and Sunday morning. Both morning and afternoon practices are two hours long and will be conducted without pads, so there will not be any real hitting. There will be brief periods on each day where Butch Davis will meet with the media.
To the best of our knowledge, no part of the rookie camp is open to the public, although practices are available to the media. No Browns veterans will attend the mini-camp either.
The Browns will also host a mandatory mini-camp from June 10 through 12th, and will also hold four quarterback schools over the summer. The QB schools can involve the entire team, but are considered voluntary. All dates of the team's spring and summer camps have been put into the BerniesInsiders.com web calendar.
