NameJeremy Loyd  SchoolIowa State Year:   4Sr

Ht:  6-1.5  Wt:  235  40:  4.57  Pos:  ILB

Bio: Tyler Junior College transfer who posted 102 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks and 7 pass defenses as a senior.  Honorable mention All Big 12 and Defensive Co-MVP in 2001 after 68/7/2.

Positives: Smart, disciplined linebacker with good athletic numbers.  Immediately reads or anticipates the action, physical and likes to mix it up.  Runs around the field to get involved in the action and wraps up tackling.

Negatives:  Gets caught up in the wash moving laterally, easily moved from his angle of attack and lacks the quick change of direction.  Does not play to his timed forty speed.

Analysis:  Defensive style is more suited to play over tight end though his best pro position would be on the weak side linebacker.
