BREAKING: According to published reports, the Cleveland Browns have signed TE / H-Back Aaron Shea to a three-year contract worth slightly over $2 million. This would be the third signing in a week of young veterans in Cleveland's developing offense.

Shea was hurt much of the 2002 season, and expressed concerns that he might be traded or waived during the off-season. Instead, TE Mark Campbell was traded to Buffalo, and the Browns have made a commitment to Shea prior to training camp.

The Browns have now signed three members of their offense who would have otherwise been free agents after the 2003 season. Earlier in the week, the Browns signed Jamel White to a multi-year pact, and extended third-string RB James Jackson's contract by one-year.
