Browns running back James Jackson was in uniform but didn't practice in full-team workouts today. The recently-inked third-string back reportedly hurt himself playing golf yesterday with other Browns players and reporters. The injury is minor, and Jackson should be back in action soon.
Courtney Brown also didn't participate in full-team drills. As expected, the Browns #1 pick from 2000 spent the time participating in individual drills and working with team trainers on exercises intended to help rehabilitate his injured knee.
The team closed the afternoon session with practice of the two-minute drill, and will likewise tomorrow work on goal line and short yardage situations. Kelly Holcomb and Josh Booty both ran one two-minutes apiece, while Tim Couch and Nate Hybl did not. Holcomb's turn with the two-minute drill ended around mid-field thanks to an interception by linebacker Barry Gardner. Booty fared a little better, getting the Browns offense into the red zone before he likewise suffered an interception, this time at the hands of Raymond Walls.
