Another day, another rumor tossed out by a national writer.
This time, it's Jason LaCanfora's turn to be at the center of the spotlight for the 2 minutes, 28 seconds it takes the internet to obfuscate the source of the rumor. LaCanfora offers the following in his latest opus:
"....the Browns remain very much in transition. However, they do have game-breaking receiver Josh Gordon, they are willing to trade up to land Johnny Manziel in the draft if need be, sources said, and have an owner, Jimmy Haslam, who is committed to spending their abundant cap space to try to win quickly."
Let us keep in mind two important points: (1) Lots of front office execs use reporters to get opposing teams to believe the wrong things this time of year, and (2), LaCanfora also said that the Browns were chasing Gus Malzahn this time last week. And there's no report that's come to fruition.
So, there's that.
Those cautions aside, what would you feel about Manziel in a Browns uniform? Would he be enough to blast through the apathy that many fans have built up over the past 15 years?
