1st Browns Depth Chart Released

The Cleveland Browns have released their 1st Unofficial Depth Chart of the season, with a few surprises.

As the Cleveland Browns get set for their first Pre-Season game this week, against Washington, the team has released their first "Unofficial" Depth Chart to us tonight. (The full listing is found at the bottom of this page.)

Here is a quick run through of some of the most interesting or things we believe you might be interested in:

QB: Josh McCown, Johnny Manziel are listed at one and two respectively. Not surprising as HC Mike Pettine has made it clear this was what would happen.
RB: Isaiah Crowell and Terrance West are one, two at the position with Shaun Draughn third. Rookie Duke Johnson and Glenn Winston are listed behind and noted as injured.
WR: Brian Hartline and Andrew Hawkins are listed as starters with Dwayne Bowe and Terrelle Pryor listed later as injured. Josh Lenz, who has drawn a lot of praise since the Scrimmage is listed near the end of the depth chart.
TE: Possibly the biggest surprise on the offense is Gary Barnidge and Jim Dray listed ahead of FA pickup Rob Housler with rookie E.J. Bibbs listed 4th.
OL: Rookie Cameron Erving is listed as backup at right guard with Michael Bowie as the team's backup at right tackle.

DL: Randy Starks, Phil Taylor and Desmond Bryant are listed as starters with rookie stud Danny Shelton the backup, not the starter. Fellow rookie Xavier Cooper is listed 3rd string at this point
LB: Scott Solomon is listed as starter across from Paul Kruger with Barkevious Mingo injured. Christian Kirksey has officially overtaken Craig Robertson next to Karlos Dansby.
CB: Because of Pierre Desir's injury, Justin Gilbert is listed as Joe Haden's backup at left corner.

K: As we saw on Friday Night, it looks like Travis Coons has a leg up on the competition for the kicker spot.
KR: Marlon Moore is joined by Draughn, Gilbert and the injured Johnson as kickoff return guys.
PR: Travis Benjamin currently leads this competition with surprises Tramon Williams, Jordan Poyer and Taylor Gabriel as punt returners.
