Interesting Notes:

- Head coach Mike Pettine spent more than half of his career in the NFL under the direction of Bills head coach Rex Ryan. For seven seasons (2002-08), Pettine served in various roles for the Baltimore Ravens while Ryan was the team’s defensive coordinator and defensive line coach. Later, Pettine served as Ryan’s defensive coordinator with the New York Jets for four seasons (2009-12).

- DB Donte Whitner was originally selected by the Bills in the first round (8th overall) in 2006. He spent five seasons in Buffalo, appearing in 69 games with 451 tackles and five INTs.

- LB Tank Carder was originally selected by the Bills in the fifth round (147th overall) in 2012.

- After finishing 2013 with a -8 turnover margin (tied for 25th in the NFL), the Browns owned a +6 turnover ratio last year, tied for ninth in the league. It marked the club’s biggest turnover margin increase since the 1991 season (+15) after a -24 margin in 1990. The last time the Browns finished a season with a margin of +6 or better was in 2001, when the club finished +9.

- DB Johnson Bademosi led the team with 15 special-teams tackles last season. Bademosi has led the club in special-teams tackles each season since joining the Browns as an undrafted free agent in 2012. According to STATS LLC, Bademosi’s 44 special teams tackles since 2012 are tied for second in the NFL.
