The Browns brought back eight players whom they released on Saturday to the practice squad. Teams are permitted to have 10 players on the practice squad. The players the Browns brought back included three offensive linemen in Andrew McDonald, Erle Ladson and Darrian Miller. They added defensive backs Kendall James and De’Ante Saunders, linebacker Hayes Pullard III, wide receiver Darius Jennings and running back Shaun Draughn.
The original Browns roster had just three offensive lineman and they claimed offensive lineman Austin Pasztor on Sunday. Pasztor replaced Terrance West on the 53-man roster after West was traded to the Titans for a conditional draft choice in 2016, believed to be a 7th-round pick.
Of the two draft choices released Saturday, Pullard III (7th round) re-joins the Browns, but fourth-round pick wide receiver Vince Mayle, who cleared waivers is not among the first eight members of the practice squad announced. Also, popular receiver Josh Lenz, was also not among the eight. The Browns have two more spots available on the practice squad
