Scott Solomon placed on IR and out for the rest of the 2015 season

Having played in parts of just two games for the Browns this season, Scott Solomon will not see the field again, after sustaining a knee injury and being placed on the injured reserve list.

BEREA— After he suffering his second injury of this season, Scott Solomon was placed on injured reserve by the Browns, effectively ending his season.

The organization filled his roster spot by picking up defensive back Don Jones off of waivers from New Orleans.

Solomon, who received rave reviews in Training Camp, injured his ankle on the first drive of the Browns first game against the Jets, which forced him out until the Browns took on Baltimore.

In just his second game of the season, however, Solomon injured his knee against the Ravens and will now be out for the rest of the year, after being placed on IR.

Solomon will finish 2015 in Cleveland having played in just two games and recording one total tackle.

Replacing Solomon on the roster is Jones, a 5’11, 195-pound defensive back from Arkansas State University, who was claimed off of waivers from the New Orleans Saints.

Jones was a seventh-round draft pick by the Miami Dolphins in 2013 and has appeared in 34 NFL games, including five this year with the Saints.
