Cleveland Browns sitting three starters on defense due to injury. Inactives vs. Rams.

The Browns will be without several starters on defense. Will first round pick Danny Shelton be one of them?

The Cleveland Browns announced that Joe Haden (concussion), Craig Robertson (ankle), Tashaun Gipson (ankle), Rob Housler (hamstring) along with Dwayne Bowe, Austin Davis and E.J. Bibbs will be inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams.

Haden and Housler were ruled out on Friday. This is the second consecutive game Haden has missed while in the concussion protocol. He was inactive one other time this year due to a finger injury.

Gipson was listed as doubtful on Friday's injury report.

Rookie Danny Shelton was listed as questionable, but will give it a go against the Rams. Austin Davis, Dwayne Bowe and E.J. Bibbs are healthy scratches. Bibbs has not been active yet this season, and the Browns will go with just two tight ends against St. Louis. Sunday will be Bowe's fifth gme on the inactive list. He has yet to make a catch as a Brown.

The NFL's investigation into Johnny Manziel's recent domestic dispute will not keep him from backing up Josh McCown.
