BEREA—Johnny Manziel was in Berea—at least Monday morning.
Multiple players confirmed that Manziel was in the meeting Morning morning when Jimmy Haslam and Sashi Brown addressed the team.
Manziel was not in the locker room when reporters were permitted to talk with players as they left Berea.
Reports surfaced over the weekend that Manziel was in Las Vegas on Saturday night, but have not been confirmed by Manziel or the Browns, as of yet. He was inactive for Sunday’s game in the NFL’s concussion protocol.
Danny Shelton said Manziel was in the team meeting Monday morning, but didn’t know if he was in Las Vegas or not.
“He’s his own man really,” Shelton said. “You can’t really tell him what to do. I don’t know if it’s true or not, but I just continue to do my thing. That’s all I can do.”
Haslam would not speculate on Sunday regarding Manziel's future with the team, saying it will be determined by Brown, the new head coach and new general manager.
