Reports: The Johnny Manziel era appears to be ending

The hiring of Hue Jackson by the Browns could mean the end of the Johnny Manziel experiment in Cleveland, according to multiple reports.

The coming of Hue may make Johnny blue.

As Hue Jackson is set to become the next head coach of the Browns, Johnny Manziel's time in Cleveland may be coming to a close, according to multiple reports.

Ian Rapoport of NFL.com initially reported that Manziel was likely to be cut by the team with Jackson joining the fold, and was followed by Dan Graziano and Pat McManamon of ESPN in doing so.

Part of the reason for Manziel's apparently imminent departure from the Browns could stem from Jackson's relationship with current California quarterback, Jared Goff, who Cleveland could very well pick with the second overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft.

Of course, it could be too that Manziel was recently reported to have put on a disguise in order to party with pals in Las Vegas.

According to the reports, Manziel wore a blonde wig, a fake moustache and referred to himself as Billy in Las Vegas, before partying at a club and ultimately paying the bill with a credit card using his real name.

That news came after the Browns placed Manziel in the NFL's concussion protocol, after he showed up to the team's facility on the Wednesday before the team's last game of the season with concussion-like symptoms.

Of course, the Browns lost to the Steelers with Austin Davis as the starting quarterback, but Manziel wasn't in attendance and apparently skipped a mandatory appointment with team doctors in Berea earlier that morning.

The Browns haven't yet confirmed the hiring of Jackson, nor any news regarding Manziel.
