CLEVELAND, OHIO-- The Browns QB situation is slowly, but surely becoming more clear.
QB Connor Shaw, through his Twitter account, indicated that he was released by the Browns on Thursday.
Shaw, 24, was one of five quarterbacks on Cleveland's roster as of Wednesday, including Robert Griffin III, Josh McCown, Austin Davis and 2016 3rd rd. selection, Cody Kessler.
After starting Cleveland's final game of the 2014 season, Shaw missed the entirety of the 2015 season with an injury to his thumb that required surgery during Training Camp.
His lone regular-season game with the Browns came against Baltimore on December 28, 2014, during which he completed 14 of his 28 pass attempts for 177 yards in a 20-10 loss to the Ravens.
