Storms cancel first public practice

The Browns first public practice under Hue Jackson had to be cancelled due to inclement weather

BEREA, Ohio--BEREA, Ohio--Some of the best laid plans.

Just as the Browns were set for their first training camp practice under Hue Jackson open to the public, thunderstorms and lightning hit Berea causing the Browns to close practice to the public. The Browns were expecting about 3,000 fans for the practice that had to be turned away.

Practice was scheduled from 3-5:30 pm but at 3:08 pm the team decided to close practice to the public due to the threat of lightning. The Browns stretched and started individual drills in the indoor field house, but went outside about 3:20 pm when the skies brightened.

The first practice open to the public now will be Saturday starting at 3:25 pm but the tickets have been sold out.
