Four Draft Picks Inactive for Season Opener

Four of the Browns seven recent draft picks were inactive for the season opener with the Eagles

Four of the Browns 2016 draft class will be spectators for the NFL season opener against the Eagles.

Third-round picks quarterback Cody Kessler and offensive lineman Shon Coleman, along with fifth-round pick wide receiver Jordan Payton  and seventh-round pick linebacker Scooby Wright all were declared inactive for Sunday's game.

In addition, recent pickups defensive backs Briean Boddy-Calhoun and Marcus Burley were declared out. Burley came to the Browns after being waived-injured by the Seahawks with a groin injury. He did not practice last week and was declared out on Friday. Besides Boddy-Calhoun and Burley, defensive end Tyrone Holmes was also declared inactive. Body-Calhoun, Burley and Holmes were all claimed on waivers last week after final cuts were made.
