Rumor: Franchised CB To Be Traded? Browns?

Another rumor, with the Browns not specifically linked, has a Franchised CB possibly being traded.

UPDATE 4:45PM: Ian Rappoport says to watch the Brown as a potential destination:

Before Trumaine Johnson was given the Franchise Tag by the Los Angeles Rams, many linked his name with the Cleveland Browns because his former defensive coordinator, Gregg Williams.

Now, after hitting him with the Tag, the Rams are discussing trading the corner:

Could the Browns be interested?

Johnson did not play well under Williams but knows the system and could give the Browns a solid set of corners between he and Joe Haden. The team is desperate for help in the defensive backfield, especially at safety, and an improved pass rush could help as well.

That the Rams are willing to trade Johnson means they don't see a top flight guy or they are getting a good deal in return for him.

The Browns regime doesn't seem like a team that would give up pick(s) to pay big money for a so-so player but anything is possible as the team tries to improve.

What do you think about the Browns possibly trading for Johnson?
