Report: Browns Land OG Kevin Zeitler

The Browns landed the best player at his position in free agency and weakened a division foe.

The Cleveland Browns are not playing around. After extending OG Joel Bitonio and signing away OC J.C. Tretter, the team continues to attack the offensive line by stealing the best in free agency from their in-state, division rival:

For the Browns, that is a ton of money for Kevin Zeitler but the team is looking to build a bully of a front line to make things easier for whoever is playing QB. Also, Zeitler is very good.

Compared to the deal that Matt Kalil just got, the Browns are getting steals with both their guards:

In a lot of ways, the Browns are building a team that needs to draft a ton on defense but has the offense that could allow a rookie QB to thrive. A great offensive line, very good running backs and weapons with versatility, including the newly signed Kenny BrittTerrelle Pryor could still also return to that group.

The Browns should still have money to spend, depending on how the contracts are structured, and, beside Pryor, have been engaged with a number of other free agents.

The defense seems to still have the biggest holes, especially at the safety position but with a ton of draft picks and the offense once again addressed, the Browns still have a way of getting better.

As of now, Joe Thomas, Bitonio, Tretter and Zeitler will be joined by either Shon Coleman or Cameron Erving at right tackle.

That is a whole lot of talent.

What do you think about the Browns signing the best guard in free agency after getting Tretter and extending Bitonio?
