Rumor: Garoppolo Traded, To Browns?

I'm awake randomly at 4:30AM and happen to look at Twitter to see that Jimmy G. has set the world ablaze.

The Cleveland Browns could be trading for Jimmy Garoppolo, or not.

The one thing that seems certain is that the QB is on his way out of New England after posting to Instagram his goodbye to New England:

That has been followed by a number of tweets, contradictions of each other and LA's thoughts on the matter:

Or maybe, just maybe (for the first legit time in history) Jimmy G. was hacked:

So what do we take from all of this?

Who knows. For this organization to be aggressive to get the QB they want would not be surprising at all.

For this organization to be aggressive to get the QB they want would not be surprising at all.

Trading for a QB that hasn't proven much, and having to give up a lot of assets to do so, while then having to pay a ton for his next contract doesn't exactly fit.

It is very possible that another team has traded for Jimmy G.

It is very possible everything the Browns did yesterday was a setup for this deal.

It is very possible the NFL world was just woke up for no reasons, as my guy Ben Allbright guesses:

In the end, the Browns are likely to get their QB this year. Whether it is Jimmy G., a draft pick or someone else is still to be determined but here we are, hunting down information after a social media post in the middle of the night.

You awake? You stay woke? You want Jimmy G. in Cleveland?
