BEREA, Ohio--The Browns re-signed a player who made one of the biggest plays in their lone win last season.
Defensive lineman Jamie Meder blocked a field goal late in the fourth quarter to help the Browns preserve their 20-17 win over the Chargers in Week 16. The Browns announced on Tuesday that they have signed Meder, who was an exclusive rights free agent.
Meder has appeared in 33 games with 15 starts since joining the Browns in 2014. He saw action in all 16 games with 15 starts last year and totaled 48 tackles, one sack and one pass defensed. Meder was named AFC Special Teams Player of Week for Week 16 after blocking the field goal.
