- CB Michael Lehan is the only Browns player nursing an injury. Lehan pulled a
hamstring against the Ravens on Sunday.
- RB Jamel White says he
has to do a better job as a third-down receiver. He caught one pass for eight
yards in the 33-13 loss to the Ravens.
- LG Melvin Fowler would
be in trouble if the Browns were not so thin on the offensive line. He does not
hold up well to an inside pass rush. QB Kelly Holcomb cannot step up and throw
when the pocket crushes on him.
- Holcomb is the lowest rated
(49.4) passer in the AFC, yet coach Butch Davis is sticking with him. Davis says
the WRs have to get open quicker than they are.
- DE Kenard Lang
has been a bright spot on the line. He had two sacks against the Ravens. He
moves from the left side to the right depending on the situation, making it
difficult for the offensive lie to lock in on him.
- CB Anthony Henry has not been exposed yet, but that might change when the Browns face the 49ers this week. Henry will be on Terrell Owens. During the opener, the Browns pulled a surprise by putting Marvin Harrison. Last week the Ravens did not have a passing game.
