Browns Make Roster Moves

The Browns announced a couple of roster moves today, but they aren't as big as yesterday's move...

The Browns announced several roster moves today, neccessitated by a continuing series of injuries afflicting the club in 2003.

TE Steve Heiden and DT Alvin McKinley have been moved to injured reserve. At the same time, the Browns have added Chad Mustard and new DT Michael Myers to the active roster. Heiden injured his ankle against the Chiefs, and McKinley injured his knee. Both players had appeared in all of the Browns games this season, and Heiden was the team's leading receiver at tight end.

Chad Mustard has been on and off the practice squad several times since joining the Browns last year. He has appeared in three regular season games. Mustard also stood out during last year's NFL Europe season, as he continues to learn the TE position.

Michael Myers (pictured), has been with the Dallas Cowboys since 1998, when he was the team's fourth-round draft choice. He has started 25 games for the Cowboys over those six years, including this year's season opener. After being inactive for the next three games, Myers was cut by Bill Parcells on October 7th.
