Browns-Rams: Game Notebook

Some brief comments from Dave's notebook following the Browns-Rams game...

INJURED AGAIN: Courtney Brown found himself in a familiar position to start the second half - on the Browns sideline nursing an injury.

The oft-injured defensive end suffered a right arm injury in the first half. The Browns announced just before the second-half kickoff that he would not return. James Jackson, who suffered a right ankle injury in the first quarter also did not return to the game.

The Browns lost left guard Chad Beasley to an ankle injury early the third quarter. He was replaced by rookie Enoch DeMar.

KARDIAC KIDS AGAIN: The Browns broke out the brown-jersey, orange-pants look fans remember from the Brian Sipe, Kardiac Kids era for the first time since the final game of the 1983 season. That Dec. 18 game, a 30-17 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers at old Cleveland Municipal Stadium, just happened to be Sipe's final game in a Browns uniform. He played for the New Jersey Generals of the USFL in 1984.

PACE RETURNS The parents of Ohio State star Orlando Pace consistently tell anyone who will listen in their hometown of Sandusky that they would love to see their 6-foot-7, 320-pound Pro Bowl left tackle play for the Cleveland Browns. For his first appearance in northeast Ohio in his seven-year career, Pace purchased 150 tickets for family and friends from Sandusky.

LeBRON VISITS MNF: LeBron James was the celebrity halftime guest of Al Michaels in ABC's Monday Night Football booth. James sported a Jim Brown "No. 32" Cleveland Browns throwback jersey during the interview.
