According to information released by the NFL this afternoon, and contrary to some reports on local radio, the Browns will be selecting in the seventh or eighth spot during this year's NFL draft.

In determining draft position, all non-playoff teams are segmented by their won-loss record. Within identical won-loss records, according to the NFL, a coin flip is used to determine which team selects first. The teams generally flip-flop selections in later rounds.

Out of the twenty teams not in the playoffs, only the Atlanta Falcons and Cleveland Browns have identical records and "Strength of Schedule". We will provide information on when the coin flip will occur as soon as it is made available to us.
