Pre-Season Opponents Announced

The Browns 2004 schedule got a little bit more definition today, as the Browns pre-season opponents were announced. Included on the schedule are the Lions, Bears, Titans, and Chiefs (including Trent Green, pictured).

While times and dates aren't set, the Browns at least know who they will be playing in the 2004 NFL pre-season.

The team announced today that pre-season contests have been set up with the Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, Tennessee Titans, and Kansas City Chiefs.

The pre-season schedule opens the weekend of August 12-16th with Browns visiting Nashville to take on the Titans. The next weekend, the Lions will come to town for the 3rd Annual Great Lakes Classic, where $30K is donated to the winning team's charity, while $20K is donated to the losing team's charity. My personal charity, the United Victims of Full-Priced Tickets for Practice Games, is unlikely to be a beneficiary.

After annual game against the Lions, the Browns head to Kansas City the following weekend (August 26-30) and then finish off the pre-season by hosting Chicago the weekend of September 2-5.

The NFL will announce the specific times and dates for the exhibition slate in the near future. Opponents for the 2004 regular season were announced following the conclusion of the 2003 campaign.

What we know of the schedule so far has been posted on our 2004 schedule page.
