Prepare Yourself! Training Camp is Coming!

Time to mark the day on your calendar: Training Camp opens to the public on July 30th, according to information released by the Browns. Since 1999, a late 1999 pilgrimmage to Berea has been a staple for Browns fans. The photo on this story, by the way, is from the 1999 Browns training camp. Anyone remember who the four quarterbacks in that first expansion camp were?

This year, you need to get your dawgbone-chomping self to camp.

The Browns training camp will be open to the public on Friday, July 30th, according to a notation on the Browns official web site. Details of this year's training camp have not yet been released to the press.

The public is admitted to free to training camp in Berea during the summer. Not all training camp sessions are open to the public, so stay tuned to BerniesInsiders.com as we keep the schedule updated.

Starting with the team's return in 1999, the Browns training camp is a pilgrimage of quasi-religious importance to many of us here at Bernie's Insiders. Yearly camp gatherings have become the stuff of myth and legal proceedings, leading to ribald tales and occasional videotapes, the contents of which cannot be discussed here on his very public forum.

The best way to prepare, other than the typical physical conditioning and liver-strengthening vitamins, is to track the planning which will inevitably fill The Watercooler in the coming weeks. Discussion and planning for get-togethers is already kicking off. This is fan-organized, fan-generated fun.

Look for announcements from the gang here in the coming weeks!
