WEB BUZZ: RICKEY WATTERS

Watters has itchy feet, The Browns have cap room. The Holmgren-Watters silent treatment. Figure out the rest for yourselves...

=== DOSSIER: RICKEY WATTERS ===

DRAFT: STATUS: GETTING OUT OF SEATTLE, BUT WHERE TO....?

RUMOR TRACKER:

2/23/2002: We haven't heard much from Watters since last month, but word reaching me via email is that Watters was mentioned on ESPN in association with the Buccaneers if Warrick Dunn should exit. Haven't seen this one in print yet... drop me a line if you see it.

1/25/2002: The memories still torment us here at Rumor Central. Rickey Watters, his speed to the outside still something to fear, flying past the spot where an uninjured Courtney Brown would have been and accelerating upfield. Watters was a differentiating factor when the Seahawks edged the Browns in Game 1, and undoubtedly has stuck in the minds of more than one Browns fan.

At the same time, Watters is clearly gone from Seattle. With Shaun Alexander looking like the RB of the future, Watters knows his time has past. So much so, in fact, that he feels no need to talk to his coach. At present, we're at Day 37 of the Watters-Holmgren silencefest. Watters has itchy feet, The Browns have cap room. As a result, put this one near the top of the Rumorwatch Tracking List.
