"As I first sat down to write about whether I thought Art Modell should be inducted into the Hall of Fame, my first thought was "why do it?"  There are certainly easier and less controversial things to write about, especially with the playoffs just ending.  However, this topic became such a political "hot potato" in the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl that I still feel compelled to write about it even though he was passed over for inclusion this time around."
