David McMillan School: Kansas
Ht: 6-3 Wt: 262 40: 4.58 Year: 5Sr
Bio: Three-year starter voted All-Conference
selection as a senior after posting career
numbers of 37/13/7.
Positives: Explosive pass rushing
end who also has possibilities at outside
linebacker. Gets off the snap with a great first
step, plays with leverage and fast off the edge.
Effectively uses hand technique to get around
blocks, immediately alters his angle of attack
and makes plays up and down the line of scrimmage.
Fast to the flanks, shows balance and
rarely off his feet.
Negatives: Lacks bulk, strength,
and easily pushed off the ball by opposing
tight ends. Marginally productive on the college
Analysis: An athletic prospect with solid
size/speed numbers and a player who flashes
ability, McMillan has the underlying talents to
be used in a variety of ways. Offers growth
potential and could eventually develop into a
starting right defensive end at the next level, or
could be asked to stand up over tackle in a 34
defense. Needs to prove he is more than a onedimensional
player to have any shot at the next
level, yet offers a good upside.
