=== DOSSIER: WR MICHAEL WESTBROOK ===
STATUS: FINALLY, SOME HELP FOR KJ
3/5/2002: There was some early buzz about Westbrook visiting Berea quickly, but that obviously hasn't happened with all the hub-bub around defensive players and Ricky Dreadlocks. Still, Westbrook is out there and the Washington Post tells us that Dan Snyder's crew is convinced that he's not going to be a Redskin anymore. The Washington Times focuses on how the Redskins are planning to replace all their recievers other than Rod Gardner. The Times, in another article, also states that the Cowboys are interested in Westbrook.
2/25/2002: I finally got that link between the Browns and Westbrook in the mainstream press that I need to start one of these things. I guess I could have predicted that it would come from our compadre Mike McLain, writing in the Warren Tribune-Chronicle. I know Mike is cool because he bought me a beer once. As you know, that's a key test.
Anyhow, Mike mentions it in his article today, and the comments on Westbrook plug in pretty well with what Lane and JT have been saying in Rumor Central. The only thing I would add to Mike's comments is the importance ot Terry Robiskie in this equation... the Browns coach gets credit from Westbrook with turning his game and life around, and the two are very close. Don't be too surprised if Westbrook jumps to Cleveland quickly this off-season.
