Our first two Huge Posts of April come courtesy of DeployedDawg in the Watercooler, who pines for more football than he is getting in early April and New York Joe, who remembers Opening Days past. Remember to hit the friendly RACK!! button when you see a post you really like, so we can memorialize it for future generations. Assuming, of course, that future generations don't have anything better to do than read sports-related messages.
A couple of other items of site news while I stick my nose in from afar:
1. We've been having some trouble with the technology we use to determine the number of dawgs in the forums and chat rooms. This stuff has been running for years, but it waits for me to leave town before it acts up. There's got to be some sort of corrolary to Murphy's Law that shows the relationship between webmaster travelling and technical issues. (Sigh) I've contacted our web hosting service and they'll work with me to get it fixed. Hopefully, it will be up and running again quickly.
2. We've been getting a lot of tips on the tipline about possible Browns trade-ups to the #3 and #4 spots in the draft. My guess is that a lot of these relate to speculation which may be appearing in the press or via radio. If you do drop a tip into the tipline, please try to remember the URL where you saw the information... even if you write it in the comment area, we'll generally surf out and try to verify it. If is something that was on radio or TV, please let us know where it was said, and by whom. Thanks!
3. We will be racking posts out of the new AFC North Rantatorium. The new Rant is taking off even faster than expected, and I think that moving it to "neutral ground" is going to make for higher-quality smak. We don't have a Rack button hooked up for the new Rant yet so, for now, ranters should just reply to posts saying "rack it!" and we'll do searches on the forum to find the racked posts. I'll hook up RACK buttons on the Rant forum as soon as I get back to the Bietz Technology Center in Cleveland.
As always, feel free to contact me with any site questions or issues at firstname.lastname@example.org
