Camp Notes: Braylon's Debut

Braylon Edwards debuted at Browns practice today

Braylon's Debut: No. 1 pick WR Braylon Edwards had an uneventful first practice. He caught one pass from QB Lang Campbell with the fourth team. Crennel said the rookie will work his way up.

"Before he was here, I said when he got here he was going to work his way up," Crennel said. "He will go through the process. There's no battlefield promotions."

Edwards is anxious to see action.

"It was boring," he said. "I was able to see practice live and in color as opposed to watching it on film.

"I haven't been here," he said. "I know the offense. I'm just anxious to make something happen, but for now I'm biding my time."

Droughns Practices: RB Reuben Droughns was back on the field and he looked good. He made a run up the middle and broke into the secondary, showing no signs of a strained hamstring.

"Reuben looked good," Crennel said. "He was aggressive out there."

Injury Update: C Jeff Faine  did not practice after straining a muscle in his rib cage. TE Aaron Shea didn't practice (hip). LB Kenard Lang (stinger), DL Andrew Hoffman (foot) and OL John Dunn (ankle) all were held out. Rookie S Brodney Pool (concussion) sat out. Crennel said he is hopeful all will be able to play Saturday at Detroit. CB Daylon McCutcheon (headaches) was in team meetings and making progress. However, he still is not ready to practice.
