Could the Browns have discovered a jewel amidst the cornfields of Nebraska? It's too early to tell, but the Browns are the only team to have brought Smith in for a visit - at least that we know about. The team did it early on for visits as well, bringing the big defensive tackle into town late in March.

Le Kevin Smith certainly shows sparks... he's quick for his size and has a great first step. He also has the ability to make plays in pursuit. At over three hundred pounds, Smith is potentially exactly the type of lineman-occupying blocker the Browns need to let the linebackers make plays.

So what's the problem? Let's call it "Warrenphobia". Despite his physical gifts, Smith is considered to be an underachiever. He's a guy who doesn't work as hard as he could, and never plays with any consistency.

Could that be turning around? Could the Browns nab a bargain in the draft's mid-to-late rounds? They brought Le Kevin Smith to Berea to try to figure that out. That answer will dictate whether or not he becomes a Cleveland Brown this weekend.
