Scouting Report: Travis Wilson

The scouting report on Browns new WR Travis Wilson from Scout's draft experts...

Full Name: Travis Wilson School: Oklahoma Pos: WR

Ht: 6-2 Wt: 214 40: 4.54 Year: 4Sr

Bio: All-Conference selection the past two seasons. Slowed by a foot injury as a senior and totaled just 25/310/1. Posted career-best numbers of 50/660/11 as junior.

Pos: Athletic receiver with natural pass-catching skills. Displays eye/hand coordination and gets vertical to pluck the ball from the air. Takes a pounding, holds onto the pass and is effective running after the reception. Effectively body-catches when necessary, using his frame to shield away opponents.

Neg: Marginal route-runner who does not consistently play with balance. Lacks top-end speed and is not a deep threat.

Analysis: After a disappointing campaign last year, Wilson returned and performed well at the Senior Bowl. May slip through the cracks but could be one of the draft's better bargains late in Day One.
