Back in 2000, we utilized a service which allowed us to hand out free websites to our visitors. It was sort of a cheap, slightly less pop-up driven version of Geocities for Browns fans. This was not a money-making venture for us... instead it was one of those things that we did because we thought it was cool. It was cool, for a while.
The problem is that the company that we used sold out to another firm in the dot-com crash that started that year, and we started having a lot of problems with the service. We also stopped getting response to our technical issues like we had in the past. We stopped promoting it when we found out that people were having trouble and started looking for ways to replace it. Existing sites, however, were allowed to continue.
It looks like the tools for us to do this ourselves are falling into place, and we would like all those who currently have BTNG websites to contact us as soon as possible so that we can work to move your sites. We are not making this available to anyone who does not currently have a BTNG web site, as we are only looking to move existing sites.
If you have an existing BTNG website, please write me at firstname.lastname@example.org with the name of the existing site and the email address you used. Let me know if you want us to move the files which are currently on that site, and whether you would like a new website to be set up.
