The day was well, something less than the ordinary.
Only a few hours earlier in the day Tom Condon, the agent for rookie running back William Green turned down a 7.85 million dollar offer from the Browns. Late this afternoon the Browns and Green agreed to terms on a contract that is very close to the initial numbers provided above.
One significant change and the key portion of the deal is that if Green meets very reachable performance incentives the deal will reduce to a 5-year deal.
Bernies Insiders has learned that the signing bonus and incentives have been modified. The addition of the voidable years is seen as the component that sealed the deal.
We'll have more on the William Green signing as details become available.
