FoxSports.com's Jay Glazer is reporting this afternoon that the Browns and Brady Quinn have agreed on a five-year contract.
UPDATE 2:05PM - Your friendly neighborhood webmangler got over-excited (per usual). We should not have said that Quinn "signs" the deal, but merely that the deal was "agreed to". There are still some details being worked out and, to the best of our knowledge, the contract has not actually been signed yet. We've corrected our headline.
UPDATE 1:40PM - Glazer is reporting that the deal is worth $20.2 million with the possibility to hit $30 million with escalators. Fred Greetham will be in Berea for today's practice with more from the team's perspective.
INITIAL REPORT 1:15PM - According to the report, some contract details need to be worked out, but Quinn is heading to Cleveland. The OBR is working to confirm and provide additional details.
The OBR reported this morning of a potential breakthrough in negotiations between the Browns and Quinn's representatives, involving a compromise between guaranteed money and escalators in Quinn's contract.
