Fan View: What Is Left to Say?

Jeff Biletnikoff is left nearly wordless after the Browns debacle in Baltimore. Nearly.

How you can you write about a team like this? What is left to analyze? What explanation could we possibly get for this PUTRID start?

0-3 overall.

0-2 in the division.

0-2 at home.

Losses to BOTH of the teams that Browns fans can't stand most (Steelers, if I had to tell you).

INEPT performances in all phases of the game, including how to line up for punts.

I don't care to hear what the players say after this loss. I'm deaf to what Romeo Crennel saw on the coach's film and I certainly could give two (expletive deleted but its plural and rhymes with "it's") about what free agents Phil Savage might bring into help the situation.

This team is in serious disarray.

I find myself longing for the days of Butch Davis' gut feelings and mental breakdowns.

No kidding. I do.

In the first 3 weeks of the year I've watched them lose AT HOME to the Cowboys and Steelers. Not just lose. They weren't in either game.

But today........

Today was the capper for me.

You are facing a team that was 5-11 last year that is starting a guy that was tossing footballs around last year for a NCAA FCS (formerly Div I-AA ) football team.

You read that right.

Joe Flacco wasn't playing for a Division 1 powerhouse last year at this very time.

He was playing in Division I-AA (ok, NCAA FCS) for the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens and now he's making his 2nd pro start.

2nd pro start!

And Romeo Crennel's bunch makes him look like a rising star.

Good luck when you play Pittsburgh, Joe.

Listen to me. I'm actually talking smack on the Ravens rookie QB, threatening that he'll be sorry when he plays Pittsburgh.

My mind has turned to serious mush as I follow the Cleveland Sad Sacks.

I wonder if I can find some of those circa 1970's "Ain'ts" paperbags from e-Bay?

Ah hell, I'll just make my own.

I'm going to need plenty of paperbags to cover my head this season.

Romeo Crennel. Phil Savage.

It's been fun.

It's been nice.

Thanks for the memories.

But you two have to go.

It's Bill Cowher time.

And if its not Bill Cowher time anytime soon, then I'm going to buy out the paperbag section of Sam's Club.

Might as well beat the rush of other Browns fans.

We'll need plenty to survive future Cleveland seasons.
