This is a day off of work for wiremaster DK, so you're stuck with me this morning. There's really nothing which resembles new Browns news, but God Bless the Canton Repository's Steve Doerschuck for pounding out four Browns articles this morning, including his year-end awards. You can always count on the Rep to keep the Browns fire burning during the off-season.
Bernie's pal Marc Trestman has achieved undeniable redemption this weekend as his attack-oriented Raiders offense piled up 41 points on the Titans and led the Raiders into the Super Bowl against the tough Tampa Bay Bucs. Despite Bill Livingston's typically grumpy view of the Super Bowl which lands on the wire, I'm looking forward to what may well be a classic match-up of powerhouse offense vs. bloodthirsty defense. This should be a good one.
By the way, Trestman's new-found fame should help convince the Associated Press and Getty Images to update his picture in their photo libraries. The only one I could find was from 1998, but he's looking snappy in that one, so I guess it's OK.
Believe it or not, this was a busy weekend behind the scene's here at Bernie's Insiders. We're on the verge of releasing our free agent lists, which will be kind of cool because they're plugged into TheInsiders Hot News function, so you should be able to see the very latest on all the available free agents each and every day. This morning, we're getting some of the kinks out and making sure that all the data is correct. Hopefully, you'll see it later today.
Oh, and I did a little tweaking on the front page because.... er.... I felt like it and got sick of looking at lists of free agents who all will make more money next year than most CEOs. The front page needs to be cleaned up every once in a while. Sort of like my garage, but I'm less likely to put it off.
Anyhow, don't be fooled by last weekend's absence of new stuff. We're actually hard at work here getting our off-season goodies geared up. Feel free to if there's anything you want to see.
